The SHS boys soccer team beat Heritage High School Saturday to clinch a spot in the 6A state championship game. Springdale will take on Conway next week to defend their 2019 title.

The game was won in penalty kicks with Springdale goalie Cesar Rizo blocking two of Heritage’s four penalty kicks while Springdale players were four for four in penatly kicks.

Saturday’s game was tied 1-1 after regular play and two 10-minute overtimes. Erik Guerrero, Rene Recinos, Johnny Alcala, and Mike Solis scored the penalty kicks.

Bulldogs will play Conway in Benton on Friday at 4 p.m.
